The future of electric driving: a dive into the Audi Q6 e-tron

21 March 2024

The development of electric vehicles (EVs) has reached a new milestone with the introduction of the Audi Q6 e-tron. It has been developed on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) - a joint project between Audi and Porsche. This innovative platform promises a new generation of electric cars that are not only environmentally friendly, but also raise the bar in terms of performance, comfort and technology.

Innovation through collaboration

The collaboration between Audi and Porsche has resulted in the PPE platform, a versatile basis for various EV models ranging from SUVs and crossovers to sedans and station wagons. The first result of this collaboration is the Audi Q6 e-tron, an SUV that sits between the Q4 e-tron and the Q8 e-tron.

A powerful new EV

The Q6 e-tron has an impressive powertrain with both induction and synchronous engines, which together account for 387 hp. There will also be an even more powerful SQ6 e-tron variant that has 517 hp under the bonnet. The driving experience promises to be smooth and dynamic, with an emphasis on stability and comfort.

Audi Q6 e-tron: Something for Everyone

The Audi Q6 e-tron comes in several flavours. You have the standard version with a range of up to 625 km. For those who like a sporty version, there is the SQ6 e-tron, with a range of 598 km. Both models feature rear-wheel drive and a large battery for a hefty range. And for frugal drivers, there is a special version that gets more than 500 km.

Technological advances

The Q6 e-tron uses the latest technologies, such as a brake-by-wire braking system and regenerative braking, which makes the braking experience smoother. The 800-volt battery pack supports fast charging up to 270 kW, adding 250 km of driving range in just 10 minutes. This does prove that Audi is really going for power and convenience in these electric times.

Comfort and space

The Q6 e-tron is also a good example of comfort and space. The interior offers plenty of room for passengers, with attention to both head and legroom. The boot is spacious and there is even an extra storage space at the front of the car.

Can't wait for the Q6 e-tron? No worries, Audi's electric line-up already has plenty to offer. Dive into the range and find your perfect electric match. Why wait, when you can drive electric in style today,
